I want to do this to make new phrases that I CAN change w/out altering the
originals.  I tried what you described, but...  The default measure to start
splitting is "2".  I can move that # up, but not down.  I tried the +/-
keys, selecting and punching "1" in on the shift-number keys, but it
wouldn't take it. I'd really like to be able to do this, but how?   later,
