I owned an MMT-8 for several years,I think it would be perfect for what your
wanting to do.It has 8 track buttons,which can be turned off and on by
pushing
each one. You record "parts" which if you don't tell it to change it just
keeps
looping the same part.In song mode you can set-up how many times a part
loops before it changes,and since you can turn any track off or on while
it's
looping you can really build a part-say starting with a bass line then bass
drum
etc.or take stuff out .Hope this helps a little.
