Maybe, but I can't think of any use cases (for attack=0 it's obvious,
for decay = 0 it's possible).

It is only desirable when you want a click at the end of *some* notes.
Only some, it depends on note length - the note off event may occur when
the sample value is close to zero (= no click) or when it is far off the
centre (= loud click).

I personally wouldn't miss unpredictable clicks too much (especially in
published drumkits), but feel free to prove me wrong.
