The double-build only happens during rpmbuild. "compiling by hand" doesn't cause the double-build, even with the exact same commands the SPEC file uses. I remember that we talked about this months ago. But I don't remember what was the outcome. I think I forgot to do my homework. I need to bug the scons&rpm guys on Fedora about this.
