Decided to get the airplane out today and get some aerial shots of the
snow for the local paper. I was suprised to find 8 Gray Partidge on the
taxiway at the Boone airport. I was more suprised to find them still
there 2 hours later upon my return. They appeared to be oblivious to the
airplane and concentrating on finding nourishment. I also flew over
"Beamers" pond and found quite a number of Trumpeter Swans there as Steve
Dinsmore had noted in a previous post. It was 40 degrees at 3,500 feet
and 20 degrees on the ground. Hope the warm air makes it to the ground!

If this post is duplicated please forgive me. I've tried a couple of
times to add it but for some reason it doesn't make it.
