The Pine warbler seen and reported yesterday by Dianna Pesek was seen
again this morning. It was singing in the Red pines just south of the
area of White pines where Dianna had it yesterday. This is in the
Donnellson Unit of Shimek State Forest in western Lee County.
Bob and Jon Cecil also found a Blue grosbeak this morning about five
miles west of the Donnellson Unit about a mile inside Van Buren
County. It was sitting on a wire right along IA Hwy 2. This is west
of the Donnellson Unit by about 4-5 miles.
