But I really think it would have been "nice" if the user could specify _which_ RDMS to use. I.e. if you already have DB2 or Oracle, then allow it to be used. If you do not currently have an RDMS, then a default "free" DATACOM would be acceptable. Having said that, I understand the developers' not liking the idea of having CA-11 depend on something "not under their control" and with which they may not be familar. It cuts down on the finger pointing. Also, they do not need to be worried about a change to the RDMS system "breaking" their system.
