Of course.. but any version of MVS is better than no version, no?

The extinction of MVS is slowing but not be much. IBM, IMO is doing a great job in killing their flagship OS without the help of anyone except their own people. It started in the 90's and continues. Their recent attempt to get it back into academics is too little and too late. IBM, IMO is so behind the curve that they will probably never recover. Their cost cutting over the years in both personnel and investing in long term (read: academics and few other areas) has probably cost the company to be in any real sense any part of the future.
