I'll second this. The chair's job isn't hard, but it really does help the
speaker immensely. They even provide a sheet and a script that tells you
everything you need to know and say.

Drop Sam a note and get the list. If you see a session on there that you're
interested in going to anyway, sign up. It's well worth it, and really helps
matters along.
