My first guess would be that there's an alias involved. What are the
current definitions for ES1.CMN2.SYSDUMP, ES1.CMN2.SYSDUMP.G3430V00,

I don't see how? OTOH, there is no RECFM=0; without valid DCB
parameters I would expect anything but a physical copy to fail.
