The bulk of the corporate offices are now in Mooresville, NC. That is just north of Charlotte. My office never had much problem recruiting people to work in Wilkesboro. Some in my office live in either Winston-Salem or Statesville. That is around a 1hr drive. My job has not moved yet, but it is scheduled. I do not know what I am going to do yet in regard to moving. BTW, you can look for open job postings at www.lowes.com. Depending on what you want, there are many job openings through out the IT organization. -----Original Message----- From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Richard Pinion Sent: Tuesday, May 30, 2006 3:41 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Slightly off topic And I can appreciate that position very much. What about your employer, does it have difficulty attracting people to North Wilksboro? It's not exactly a metopolis. Personally, I'd prefer a place like Wilksboro to a big city, hint, hint!!! >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 5/30/2006 3:36:25 PM >>> I believe employers see the unwillingness to move as a lack of long term commitment to the new job. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
