The bulk of the corporate offices are now in Mooresville, NC.  That is
just north of Charlotte. My office never had much problem recruiting
people to work in Wilkesboro.  Some in my office live in either
Winston-Salem or Statesville.  That is around a 1hr drive.  My job has
not moved yet, but it is scheduled.  I do not know what I am going to do
yet in regard to moving.  

BTW, you can look for open job postings at www.lowes.com.  Depending on
what you want, there are many job openings through out the IT
organization.

And I can appreciate that position very much.  What about your employer,
does it have difficulty attracting people to North Wilksboro?  It's not
exactly a metopolis.  Personally, I'd prefer a place like Wilksboro to a
big city, hint, hint!!!

I believe employers see the unwillingness to move as a lack of long term
commitment to the new job.
