Rob, 00-ff covers any characters. Are you saying you want to use special symbols , such as LOAD## and LOAD%& in additional to 00-99 and AA thru ZZ.
I would say "NO" it not supported... Think of the different keyboards that may not have some symbols. I sure one of the smart guys on the is list can quote a ANSI Standard. -----Original Message----- From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Goings, Rob Sent: Wednesday, May 31, 2006 11:47 AM To: [email protected] Subject: LOAD parm question Greetings Listers. Question regarding the LOAD parameter. The suffix of the IODFxx has to be within a valid Hex range of 00-FF Does the same restriction apply to the LOAD suffix. Does it have to be 00-FF or can I use any two characters? The IBM manual does not state any restriction, but I thought I'd better check. TIA Rob R.
