Suit yourself, but I've been one in the past (along with VM and VSE, all
on the same physical box), and another in this area was recently laid
off when his shop "got off the mainframe" (remember Eric from P & H
Mining?)

z/OS (et al) is quite capable of running "lights out".

Courses cost time and money, both of which are "scarce resources".

Perhaps in your part of the world that is true, but here (USA), if one
confines oneself wholly to operating on private property one needs
neither license, nor vehicle registration, nor insurance, nor any other
encumbrance we've devised to try to protect ourselves from each other.
