I've been trying to follow this thread because I find it interesting, but I'm a 
bit lost.  

Did the original poster say that he found a way to get supervisor state without 
running from an APF authorized library and on a system that is properly setup 
and secure?

I would probably just suggest opening a PMR via the usual IBM Support 
Center channels.
