Well, I've just converted our Websphere HFS files to zFS and was about to start on the rest of the HFS files when I read this. Where did you find out that conversion for performance was unneccesary, is it documented anywhere or did you just experience it yourself. When you say "copy them logically", what program did you use to do that. Presumably you will have to keep on periodically reorging some of the more volatile HFS files. Wouldn't zFS be better in those cases.

IIRC, we also had an ETR open with IBM and were told that this is broken as designed. In addition we found out that our migration to zFS (from HFS) that appeared to be a big performance boost was unnecessary. Instead, we should have 'just' reorganized the HFS files (as in copy them logically, not physically), that would have yielded the same performance boost.
