A connection is established when a FIND/BLDL (w/o NOCONNECT) is
successful for a member. Another FIND/BLDL for the same member
disconnects the old copy and connects the new. A CLOSE disconnects all.

I'm obviously way out of my area of expertise here so this may be a
bonehead question, but doesn't LLA do a BLDL (or equivalent) for
everything in the directory? If so, isn't every member of an LLAed
PDSE connected?

A better question is if I do updates to a LLA'ed PDSE and then do a LLA REFRESH, why is the space that contained the old copies released?
