Very basic and I know the answer, but I'll ask the question anyway. On
the HMC of my z890, there is an ICON for the "integrated ASCII console".
I know that this exists only for z/Linux systems running "native" in an
LPAR (not under z/VM). Does anybody know how this works? I.e. how does
it communicate with the z/Linux software? I would guess that output from
z/Linux would be directed to it via a DIAGNOSE code of some sort. And
input via an external interrupt, followed by a DIAGNODE code to "read"
the data? Or does it use the SIGA interface, like an OSA?

Just curiousity on my part due to some discussions on the z/Linux forum.
