The PWD program let vendors have a copy of PL/X on request; I of course requested it, and received the tape (an ordinary-looking minireel). I had no actual need for it, so I never installed it. This was during the period when PWD membership cost $5K/year. A few months later, they made PWD free, and retroactively -- but those of us who'd asked for PL/X had to pay about $1600 for it, since GDL/POK/whoever had paid RDU for it internally. (And of course it was then no longer available on request.) So I got to go to my VP and give him the good news/bad news: "We're getting most of our money back". ...phsiii ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
