Out in the middle of a dessert... There are many a day when that would be very appealing. Guess that's why I bought 12 acres on the top of a mountain in New Mexico back in the 90's; which I've since sold. Personally, I like to get away from it all. Of course, JR would not have it. However, I understand the problems with this type of position.
It also gives new meaning to "we've done so much with so little for so long, we're now able to do the impossible with nothing"; or something like that. Yes there is a community (albeit all government type people) Secrecy is all around you and probably your next door neighbor is spying on you. Its like living in the back hills of the south. You certainly would not be allowed to join in on here you would miss the toothless biting humor of Ron H and the 1 (or 2) word answers from Schmuel all you would be able to do is stare out on the desert at night. And the high point would be if someone runs a red light.
