I've read ALL the responses on this topic. In reading the job
posting, the first
thing that struck me was the VERY FIRST line:
The purpose of the Z/OS Operating System Programmer trainee
position is
providing second level support on various Z/OS mainframe products &
utilities.
"second level support" ????? As in IBM or other OEM Level 2
support?!
If YES, that is NOT a trainee's job, if NOT the company needs to
clean that up
a bit, right?!
A major pet peeve of mine in this SysProg field is it's: Systems
Programmer
*Systems* with an "S".....plural. 'Cause it ain't just ONE system,
but many.
Lastly.....I'm NAVY trained and PROUD of it. You Marines are OK
too?!?!
I know and have known a few in my time.
TTFN,
Mark
P.S. I will refrain from bashing a job in Canada.
