Graham, Given the recent discussions on "advertizing" and the fact that I *used* to (a decade ago) work for a 3rd party, what I would like to say, is hard for me to phrase "politically correctly".
First, let me say that from what I have heard RDz would do what you want - but DOES require an upgrade to your laptop. If you get to the stage that you either upgrade or have access to a "private" computer for the 60 day trial, it sure sounds worth it. Having said that, there are 3rd party "solutions" that I think would do what you want on your current laptop. Like RDz, they aren't cheap. However, they do have COBOL and CICS (IBM mainframe compatible) solutions - and certainly do share the same "VSAM-like" files. If it is needed, S/390 Assembler is also available. If you would like me to be "less obscure" and if no one else jumps in with web page references or product names, please feel free to contact me off-list. wmklein <at> ix.netcom.com (trials of 3rd party products are also often available) P.S. It is my impression that it is NOT the Eclipse IDE (alone) cause the memory needs of RDz).
