Your symbol was not continued in accordance with JCL rules; it ran past
column 71.

Other way around; the access method uses TGET (TPUT for output) when your
ddname is allocated to the terminal. Of course, ultimately the VTIOC uses
VTAM, but I don't believe that was what you meant.

It's a user of an access method, indirectly.
