Another way you could avoid having a TN3270 server on each LPAR on your physical machine is to set up SNA connectivity over your HiperSockets CHPIDs using Enterprise Extender. This is a topic I am in the process of addressing with the customer with whom I am working at the moment - but very clearly I was not on site last week and able actually to try out a particular function!
