I was agreeing with you, Ted.  I just wanted to point out the performance 
issue.  Since he is talking about using it to connect 2 Parallel Sysplexes, my 
assumption was that it would be AT LEAST 4 systems (you could have a single 
system Parallel Sysplex, but why?).  Also, I'm not sure you could use FICON 
CTCs, since GRS Ring requires BCTCs (IIRC).

I'm aware of that.
If you can keep it below 4 systems, you may survive -- especially with today's 
faster FICON.

I am not recommending the use of GRS-Ring, rather I was merely disputing the 
comment that "only MIM-DASD can do it".
