>Also, I'm not sure you could use FICON CTCs, since GRS Ring requires BCTCs >(IIRC).
I know it used ESCON CTC's because that's how we set it up on an environment long ago. If it's still supported by IBM, and it is, and we have processors without parallel channels, it has to use more than BCTC's. So, I'd be surprised if it cannot use FICON. The software shouldn't care; it's up to the processor, the IOS, the SAP, and z/OS to make it look like a CTC to GRS. But, I haven't used it since GRS* came out. - Too busy driving to stop for gas! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
