To revive this:
I had opened a feedback record with Servicelink. Their comment was:

"This is not a problem with Servicelink ,it is mandated across
ibm.com,So please enable your ActiveX controls and plugins. "

The European servicelink guy in the UK can reproduce my problem - he gets IE
(and Opera a lot earlier, for that matter) to terminate. He also found another
statement on an IBM internal website that states the exact opposite regarding
ActiveX controls. And it is apparently introduced to each and every IBM
website.

Well, as of yesterday I have no way at all to access ETRs anymore. IBM has
sunsetted the srprob application, and the replacement one terminates *way
before* I ever get to see the list of my ETRs.

Given that this new activeX control is absolutely unneeded for servicelink and
just another IBM website bloatware *and* occures even when I allow activeXs
on prompt to execute (well, except those "Initialize and script ActiceX
controls
not marked as safe" - this is forbidden by *my* company), at the very least it
is another case of really bad programming on IBMs part. At the worst IBM is
spying on its customers, which would not surprise me.

Regards, Barbara Nitz
