Maybe the fact that for so much of its existence it was such a POS ?.
The initial iterations were bloody abysmal - poorly conceived, poorly
implemented and bloody near useless.
This have improved (there was only one direction it could go), but only
after inexcusable angst imposed on the user community.
I still have a hard time accepting
OMVS/OE/USS/whatever-the-marketing-people-called-it-this-week.
