Chris Mason brought up a good point in another post about Google Groups not reaching the whole list audience. I posted a couple of questions about the calculations in Google but I'd like to transplant them to the list to get more feedback.
Basically, I ran the REXX code against our z9-T03 and got SU=11477.7618 and MIPS=236.654882. Errol tells me that this is per CP, so with 3 of them I get SU=34433.2854 and MIPS=709.964646. With a bit for PR/SM overhead, the MIPS looks relatively in the ballpark of IBM's rating of 692 MIPS. Ok, now here's my big question. If I use SU to calculate MSU, I get 123.959827. Is this telling me that my 95 MSU machine is actually running at 124 MSU? Thansk in advance. -- Bruce ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
