MXG provides a tape mount monitor (runs as a continuous started task) which will provide (detail job/task event data, not RMF device sampled data) you the best solution here; it generates a user SMF record type. And with this data you can use MXG and SAS (on any platform) to process the data and generate detail and summary SAS data and related mgmt reports.
