Lending libraries don't violate copyright. They do not "copy" the materal. They
only "lend" it to somebody. Like you buying a book, reading it, then giving it
to a friend to read on the assumption that they will return it. Or, like a 2nd
hand book store, you can sell your purchansed copy to another. In none of these
cases do you copy the material.

The current media companies want to change this. Such as with one electronic
book which electronically erased a page when you went to the next page. That
went over very poorly. "This tape will self destruct in 5 seconds". Media
companies want the equivalent of TV's "pay per view". If you read a book 5
times, you should pay them 5 times. If you play a song 5 times, you should pay
5 fees. Oh, and I guess that the books for children it would be, pay once to
buy, pay "n" times to read it out loud "n" times to your child.

Greed Uber Alles! (I don't know how to put in the umlauts). Most companies
today are "of the money, for the money, by the money" or maybe "the money, the
whole money, and nothing but the money, so help you profit!"
