That looks pretty basic, perhaps not much new to the OP from reading his posts
thus far. I am suspect of any online training beyond a rudimentary
understanding. A key component of the Parallel Sysplex Implementation course
is lab exercises. Though I took only the Implementation course, the same is
true for the Operations and Recovery courses.

"It's not a matter of how he grasps the husk, it's a simple matter of weight
ratios."

Sorry...it's Friday. I believe the difficulty lies not in proximity, but
rather to logistics and capacity. To wit, many operate their systems remotely,
and indeed it does not matter whether it is 5m or 500Km. The issue lies in
coordinating an online course with machine time. Not saying it cannot be done,
but it is likely cost-prohibitive, perhaps to the point of washing out any
savings in travel costs.

If you really want to learn it and be able to support your organization, you
must insist that management send you to class (I have seen Parallel Sysplex
courses hosted in Europe and elsewhere), or bring the class to you (which is
only practical if you have a large enough staff or you can share the cost with
other companies in your region). If they won't relent, well, it might be time
to find a boss who sets you (and them) up for success rather than failure.

Just sayin...
