The availability of the SDSF rexx host environment is independent of whether
the current task is connected to SDSF.
The SDSF function ISFCALLS("ON") dynamically adds the ability to issue "ADDRESS
SDSF" statements in the REXX exec (and that is pretty much all it does).
You can issue "ADDRESS SDSF" statements whilst not in a current SDSF session,
and the code under the covers will connect you to SDSF and perform the function
required, return data and then disconnect.
ISFQUERY() provides the ability to detect if the current task is already
connected to SDSF and it can inherit the current session environment data.

OK, I can believe that, though I sure don't understand it. I would have thought
that if the subcommand environment was available, that was what you wanted to
know; clearly there's more to it.
