Kees, I do not think, other than Lindy Mayfield, that SAS monitors IBM Main. I know Dr. Merrill (MXG) does post from time to time. He may see this as well.
However, there is a SAS newsgroup - http://www.listserv.uga.edu/archives/sas-l.html it may not be very helpful but you could join that group as well. Also, I have found SAS Support very helpful. If you have not tried contacting SAS, you might try that If you have MXG in your shop, I would ask over there. They might have some interesting concepts of how SAS works as well as help with MXG reporting. I have tried this and have run into 2 problems / questions with them: 1. I constantly receive errors when I define WORK as DIV file. Can WORK be defined as DIV file? 2. I receive space problems with the DIV SASLIB with Hiperspace and the space of the DIV SASLIB seems to be limited to the maximum space of the Hiperspace. Normal z/OS DIV files exploit a Hiperspace, that acts as a window on the DIV file and the DIV file size is not limited by the Hiperspace size. Does SAS use a one to one relation of the DIV SASLIB and the Hiperspace? In other words, is the size of the DIV SASLIB limited to the maximum size of the Hiperspace? Both questions are not answered in all the SAS documentation I searched. Does anybody have the answer or does anybody know where to get more info on this? Is SAS monitoring this forum and willing to provide the answers? Thanks and have a good weekend, Kees. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
