Lizette, Thanks for the tip, but this is not the problem. I did check the SAS archives, but they are mainly concerned with SAS coding, not with SAS z/OS technical issues. We opened an incident with our local SAS support site. I will post the results on IBM-MAIN.
I am investigating SAS techniques we did not implement yet, to see if they can give us performance and CPU-cost benefits.
