Lizette,

Thanks for the tip, but this is not the problem.
I did check the SAS archives, but they are mainly concerned with SAS coding,
not with SAS z/OS technical issues.
We opened an incident with our local SAS support site. I will post the results
on IBM-MAIN.

I am investigating SAS techniques we did not implement yet, to see if they can
give us performance and CPU-cost benefits.

Kees.

Kees,

Have you tried using DIV for WORK? If so, did it abend? If so, what was the
abend?

Have you contacted SAS Support? I find them very helpful in answering these
types of questions. I am not sure you will find answers with IBM Main.

Lizette

I search all (I think) the docs on the SAS website, including this, but this
did not answer my 2 questions:
Can WORK not be a DIV file?
Is a DIV file limited to the size of the associated Hiperspace.

Thanks,
kees.

And if you can get to this long link in the “SAS Companion for z/OS” that
points to the article “Library Implementation Types for Base & Sequential
Engines”:
