No, you can run the CF code in an LPAR on the same CEC. The performance will 
depend on what resources you give it.

Several lpars, each configured as a MONOPLEX, with GRS=NONE, will use
the software.

I understand that we would need either physical CTCs or a "coupling
facility lock structure". Does this have to be a separate physical
component ?
