I'm sure you're right. What I meant is that it's odd for VCs, who tend to look 
for 100x opportunities. There definitely is money in "small but stable" (SBS)! 
It just isn't how the "great minds" of business tend to work.

There are plenty of stories of VCs pulling the plug on companies that had 
achieved a few $M in steady revenue but weren't growing fast enough (FSVO "fast 
enough"). VCing takes some time/focus, so I'm not saying this is completely 
insane; but it does seem to be the more typical mindset.

If BigBand really just wants to be a holding company for SBS companies, more 
power to them! As this thread has discussed, getting eaten by a big player is 
rarely a good thing for employees, products, or customers.

stable ARR to buy for less (see Charles email) and a growing potential.
