We have a single multivolume dataset which is sitting on 15 volume.
I want to copy over it to our test lpar where only dasd are shared and not
virtual tape.
What would be the best approach to copy this multvolume dataset from LPAR1
to LPAR2 ?
There are many ways to do that.
Shared DASD - means you can access the volumes.
Simple IEBGENER or IDCAMS.
Things can be a little bit more complex when it's SMS-managed - because
the dataset has to be cataloged.
However you can import the BCS (catalog).
