Multi-volume or not, just use DSS to dump the dataset, and if it is cataloged, 
no need to worry about what volumes.   My recommendation would be to dump the 
file to a compressed DSS dump file on disk, FTP it to your other lpar, and then 
just restore the dss’d dump file.

The datasets are on non sms volumes

I have found a ADRDSSU JCL which does volume to volume copy
