I didn't know you could do this from ISPF 3.2. I've done this from JCL. If I remember correctly, this is catalog only and only the primary extent is allocated initially. Using ISPF 3.4, verify that the dataset exists on all 9 volumes by specifying dsn and volume. Better yet, delete the file and see how many volumes it is allocated on.
