At one time, IBM issued a dire warning that at some point the near-ish but 
indefinite future, catalogs with such obsolete attributes would cease to 
work. IBM has since retrenched. The attributes are still deprecated and 
will not be honored on DEF CL, but the threat of outright failure is no 
longer in the air.

No. We're currently running zOS 1.13 with one of our catalogs in the 
same state without any problems.
