About ten years ago we added "DSNTYPE(LIBRARY)" to IGDSMSxx. It's amazing how many issues, albeit small ones, that created--even in our little shop.

There are a surprising number of PDS usage scenarios that work differently (or not at all) with PDSE. I guarantee that some adjustments will need to be made. Now and then DSNTYPE=PDS needs to be added to some JCL to work around such an issue. Things are a bit tougher with DYNALLOC scenarios...
