72 datasets with no secondary space ----> that's what we really worry about
394 datasets non switchable (PDS<->PDSE, HFS<->ZFS, etc.)
Note, this is NOT the number of "must be PDS" libraries.
The non-switchable list includes many other things:
- "must be PDSE" libraries like SIEALNKE (120 PDSEs in the ServerPac),
- but also ISF.HASPINDX, which is PS (41 PS files),
- SYS1.MANx (VSAM, there are 13 VSAM files, not including ZFSes),
- and a lot of DLIB files which - that's my opinion - can be converted
to PDSE (note, you can override the blockade AFAIK).
What is on the list of PDS-only?
SYS1.NUCLEUS
SYS1.LINKLIB
SYS1.MIGLIB
LPA (15 libraries)
SYS1.IPLPARM
SYS1.PARMLIB
several others
etc.
Note, only few of them cannot have secondary space. For the rest you can
set big enough secondary space and forget.
