Yes… my understanding from the documentation is that the CF structures once built will remain intact for the duration of CF LPAR run. Not sure about the “disposition of delete” comment… I would have look into that.
These LPARs are not in a Parallel Sysplex. We have an existing Sysplex with two larger LPARs and are adding a new smaller LPAR. The concern is/was that if the new LPAR came up first… say on POR, that something in the CF could be built differently and cause problems. As a precaution an IPL order procedure was put in place.
