RPMs of the drive?  Or data path within the controller?  If it's any farther
downstream, it's a shame.  And even controller microcode might be patched.

But another concern is the disastrous consequence of mechanical wear
and tear on the HMC.  Better, a commodity drive on a auxiliary port on
the HMC. Or a PC with an optical drive and an embedded NFS server.

And a good way to handle the FSUM7131 mesage.
