I agree with both. If you have, say 10 groups of members each with their own
unique syntax, you may need about 10 checkers *if they're available and
useful*.
In fact, the OP asked for a [* I believe a 'general' *] syntax checker, perhaps
in a isredit macro format.
AFAIK - there is no such thing, unless it was developed by someone or a vendor
and we don't just know about it.
I see from this thread - there are various syntax checkers (vendor supplied,
IBM supplied, HILITE function, REXX/Assembler programs, custom written
utilities, freebies, console commands, IEIBALL, etc.), but ...
... all of them are only for specific members they're intended to work on.
IEIBALL? Hmmm, you have to provide your own IEIBALL or use a second set from
your friend - no vendors available. ;-D
