He could test 701-708 configs by activating the 709 and just taking CPs offline.
That's another option, surely it is legal and counts as one CBU test,
but it does not allow to downsize from 7nn to 6nn or 5nn or 4nn capacity
marker.
Why I need to use subcapacity models - well, I don't need it. I even do
not need CBU for majority (not all) of DR tests, the lowest model 401 is
still able to start everything. The real rationale is curiosity. Mine
and my manager. Since it is possible to pay per use for DR test (I mean
ISV, not IBM), it would be good to know whether smaller machine can be
used. Note, this time CF CPU OFFLINE does not apply.
