SK4T-4949 is a simple zip of all the PDFs. SC27-8430 is the same set of
PDFs but with the addition of the Acrobat index. Production of SC27-8430
is still in the early stages, which is why both collections are still
offered, but it will likely eventually replace SK4T-4949.
What benefits do you see with SK4T-4949 that you don't with SC27-8430?

Find the pdfindex.idx file and open it in a browser. Double click should work.
There are two different collections. Perhaps one of the IBM contributors can
explain why that is.
SK4T-4949 includes a readme.txt file that says to launch index.htm in a
browser. As far as I see, this collection does not contain any .idx files. This
looks better to me than what you get with pdfindex.htm.
SC27-8430 has a file called z_OS V2R2 PDF Collection Acrobat Index.pdx. Open
this with Adobe Reader. A window will open asking if it's ok to access files on
your hard drive. Tell it that is and you will be able to search. I assume, but
do not know, that the .idx files are used by Acrobat for the search.
I've downloaded both collections because they are useful in different ways. If
they could combine the capabilities of both in one collection, that would be an
improvement, and I wouldn't need two copies of all of the books.

I downloaded the Adobe Indexed PDF collection this morning.
Is there a magic way to get the Adobe reader to use the .idx files?
