Like that programmer of you, I will be tired within a nanosecond... Sorry for not being able to help you, since I think AFAIK you don't have DB2? DB2 could be really useful for massaging those VSAM dsn, but you need DB2 on z/OS and also on a workstation plus a really competent programmer or two...
