The last release I installed before I was laid off was 1.7, going to 1.9, 1.7 I believe was one of the biggest changes due to JES2 EXITS and INITRDR re design. I was able to eventually find a job in the field but a different supporting role, it was not until recently, 2011 :) I was installing, and supporting Z/os @ a 1.12 to 1.13 release level. not much changed, the ServerPac dialog got better IMO, but everyone (site) does things differently, I suspect, if you had no issues before, you should be ok now. best of luck

I see adds for telecommute Z/OS support, how far out of date are my skills? What should I read up on to stay current? I know that as we moved along in Z/OS and previous version, 95% of what we continued to use was old, some new features were exploited, but never all of them. Most of the change was in hardware support. I don't miss pulling bus and tag cables under the floor :-) I didn't leave the mainframe, it left me. :-) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
