To be clear, the data set is being accessed via a private DD statement:  Is 
this the only Dataset specified on the DD statement ?

It's a specific problem we are looking at, in which a BLDL is failing 
with ABEND306-4 despite the data set being in the APF list. To be clear, 
the data set is being accessed via a private DD statement, not via the 
lnklst.
